Anupam Kher to visit Bhupen Hazarika`s memorial

Actor Anupam Kher is in Assam on a work trip, but he plans to take time out and visit late music maestro Bhupen Hazarika's mausoleum in the state Sunday.

"Love the silence and simplicity of this beautiful state, Assam. Will be visiting legendary Bhupen Hazarika-ji's samadhi tomorrow morning, " the veteran actor posted on his Twitter page Saturday.

One of the country's oldest performing singers, Hazarika died at a Mumbai hospital following prolonged illness Nov 5, 2011. He was 85.

Anupam is in Assam to stage his play "Kuchh Bhi Ho Sakta Hai". He also released his recently launched book "The Best Thing About You is You".

"Chief minister of Assam, Mr. (Tarun) Gogoi and dear friend and renowned director Jahnu Barua launching my book in Guwahati, " Anupam tweeted along with a picture with the duo.
